Edinburgh Chunky Vest is a thick yet lightweight, super-soft slipover in stockinette stitch with cables on the front and wide shoulders that act like short sleeves. You can choose between three different neckbands – a classic ribbed crew neck, a mock turtleneck or a folded high turtleneck. Ribbed edges finish the armholes and the bottom hem. The vest is designed with 10-15 cm [4-6]” positive ease with gradually less ease in the larger sizes.
Edinburgh Chunky Vest is written for the 7 sizes you can see in the table below. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you prefer a more fitted look or the larger size if you prefer a slightly more oversized look.

You start by casting on stitches for the back and shape the back shoulders and armholes with increases. Afterwards, you pick up stitches for each front and start working the cables. After the shaping of the neckline is finished, both fronts are joined on one needle and you shape the front armholes before joining front and back at the underarms. Work is continued in the round to desired length and finished with a ribbed hem. Finally, stitches are picked up around the armholes and neck opening and finished in rib and the desired neckband.
